six task ... Stefan Smoker fatal accident
opinion team boss Martin Scheel (Switzerland) "Dear Friends"
I only found out after my very good flight to the finish of the accident. It has taken us all. Although we will fly again, but of course I do not know how well I can handle it at the competition. We will see what the next few days bring.

How To Get Chapstick Out Of A Jacket
the early Breafing perplexed faces were visible. This did not bode well! The task now should be really difficult. The first buoy went into the flat land, then back over the plateau in the opposite direction behind Valle de Bravo. It was clear that this buoy could not be approached directly. We went back to the plateau towards "Pe" (Near the launch site) - meant the upwind Lee. After Peñon back to the lowlands in unknown territory. Again, no direct evidence as it should be flown. Then it should go back into the high plateau and the finish (a farm east of the last buoy).
Peñon The race started as usual at 12:45. Today was rather stubborn and I cashed in Startpulk more rattle. Unfortunately, I was not really the start and retrace was difficult. Wind Puts the beards are very tough and strong. It took too long to get up. Finally back on the path towards 2nd buoy, was already clear that this would be a lot of hard work. It was not really good high and I managed, despite many attempts did not return to the plateau. Shortly after the 2nd buoy, I was again on the ground - the Reslutat: 44.6 km. Slowly, but it is depressing! But tomorrow is another day and we will see what will happen.

Do You Put Cream In Goulash
fourth fifth Task Task Task
the evening of the previous day, we glued the VW logo in our umbrellas because we from the VW plant in Mexico, a VW bus were provided. Now adorns every Austrian shield a 1x1 m big VW logo. ;) On this occasion, grabbed the helicopter out my belt and asked me what I did this with the speed system? "A pulley." I said, I otherwise had no chance to connect the gas. In short Heli same time decided to look at my harness detail. Only when it did not look out of my harness and was already a building site. Two new large rollers, with strap across the back to help me pass the gas.
So it was then. Immediately after the start I tried out my improved speed system and was amazed how easy it was at one time. This is how to fly but it was really fun;). Start the clock at 13:00 succeeded quite well. I was the front runners, but could not find any good thermals and a lot further and further behind. The Ridge along every now and then I got back a lot of time. Now it came to crossing over the high plateau. I had really much height and about 10 other pilots and not so we postponed the departure, more and more. But it did not help only with low altitude, we flew directly towards a small hill on the plateau. There was not and we had to fly low. Thank God we found something and then fought our way through to the cloud base. Once there, it went like clockwork. Again and again turn up among the clouds, we flew the next 15 miles to the next buoy with the wind. Once it was against the wind to contend with. I decided to remain high under the clouds and with gas (which now works top notch) I constantly struggle forward. I knew that the next buoy will not be easy because we had to fly them downwind. On a hill about 7 km before the next buoy, I wanted to turn up again, but this was extremely difficult. I found a narrow beard and boosted me up when another aircraft is joined to the contrary to my direction and began to spin. This I did not and after a few turns I adapted myself to his direction like it. A fatal mistake as it turned out. We lost the beard and succeeded because of the too low level is no longer on the windward side of the ridge. In Lee, it washed me right down and I had no chance to make more height. Thus I had to retire after 60 km. Today's task is unfortunately only managed 84.4 km Heli and Alex. Armin, Tom and I stood sadly on the ground. But I am still in good spirits and looking forward to tomorrow's flight. This fly is really a good training and I hope I will improve in the next few days points. ;)

Ringworm On Dog Stomach
third
After yesterday again about 90 pilots reached the goal of the organizers decided that today will be 94.4 kilometers flown. Even the start did not bode well. It was not really high, even at the first buoy, we could not make a lot of height. Accordingly, I reached deep in the mountains. But I was lucky and was able to turn up to 2600 (about 200 m above the plateau). The next buoy led to the lowlands. While I was watching the other, I knew that the day is no fun ... Blue thermals and only occasionally we had to make almost no chance of height. In the second buoy arrived (a small hill), I thought to myself, I can already go landing - but I made it again I highly elaborate on 2600th Back across the plains to the "Pe" (a mark enterica increase - known for this area) - but this time I had no luck. I tried hochzusouren me, but this also failed. After 15 minutes, always at the same height but I gave up and went to land ... only 30.4 km. This result will take me back far, but there are still a few days when I've hopefully better luck! ;)

Skidoo Yamaha Enticeur 340
Mexico World Cup ... first and second Task
first task
As usual, we drove back as the last on the grid. We took an Italian from Bassano del Grappa. While chatting, we asked him if he can fly with the competition, as he was known as a competition pilot us. But he only spends his holidays here. Since the question came back: "Do you fly before or after the competition?" ... A Prompting laughter broke out with the answer: "In the competition"
had arrived at the starting position clear that we were too late for anything. The Breafing began about 20 minutes later. There was a distance of approximately 74.5 km advertised. We prepared as we could already start 45 minutes (11:45) after the Breafing. The race began at 13:00 clock. Although there was a boot sequence, but by the narrowness of the passage I was not straight forward. So I started quite late and was at the start of the race you want something deeper than. This residue, therefore, I decided it just always fly high and fast, as lower level but had to fight to make. This tactic worked and I was flying - with 27 minutes behind the best - after 2 h 28 to the finish. All the Austrians managed it with very good performances to finish: 3rd
Heli
11th Armin
29th Tom
36. Alex
84th Marion (6th Lady)
second task
Today, the task was started at 12:45. The problem was with 91 km demanding. Already the first and second buoy (40 km) took us over the plains. After the second buoy parted bulks. Some flew over the plains and the others (including me) flew back into the mountains around there to make the crossing over the plateau. It still went ahead to do it. The last 20 km across the high plateau separating the pilot again. Some tried it across the high plateau and others around it. I chose the high ground, as this was the shortest route. Late, but I reached the finish. Only just came to me Alex and helicopter to the finish. Armin was the best Austrian, but Tom was unlucky and came at the second buoy in the lowlands not high. Again a brilliant air show ended. It's really awesome to fly here. My screen is sharp and I am getting used more and more of it. Positive for me is that today only a few women came to the finish.

What To Write In A Christening Card?
Mexico World Cup ... Travel and training
arrival
Already at Munich airport, we had about an hour late. Thus, it was run, not to miss our connecting flight to Mexico. After 11 hours we arrived in Mexico City - only some without luggage. While umbrellas were the swing of Alex, Tom and me there, but Armin's and Peter's shield and the entire rest of the luggage was left in Amsterdam. Since the work of VW car was oh to pick yet, we decided to separate. Armin and Tom drove the car and pick up the rest of the luggage the next day, the rest went with the Swiss to Valle de Bravo.
first practice
early the next morning we were overwhelmed at the launch site of horror stories in recent days. Above all, the day before were many from the rescuers and the many wind shear in the high plateaus provided for athletic conditions. Despite a slightly queasy feeling I decided to fly, since I once wanted to know how well I did with my screen correctly. During the flight, but I was pleasantly surprised. I really came along well with him. Although the passages were in the lee pretty sporty but my good WRC flew away. I flew toward comfortable with Alex landing site at the foot of the lake, in Valle de Bravo. Back in the quarter it was for me to explore the resort. Small, but with many different markets and shops, the streets were enlivened much. This went on until the evening Keep it up. We saw this on the terrace of a cozy dining restaurant where we ate our dinner. Late but then Armin and Tom arrived in Valle de Bravo with the rest of the luggage.
second day
After registration in the HQ, we went again to the launch site. The conditions were slightly better but also for more demanding. Although I managed to make up, but for me, the wind shifted so much that I again had to fly against the wind and lost much height. I made it but then I fight your west (the pinion). Together with Alex and Tom, I could once again make height. Unfortunately, I then had to fight with a 70% collapse and lost too much height to the jump across the high plateau to create the next valley. Also found I no longer thermal, on the contrary - only further decline. Since helicopter had gone to land due to non-matching screen settings when I decided to join him and go back to the Vall de Bravo. In the evening there was the welcome Caremony. A parade from the main square to the HQ was admired by all sides and cheered. The parade was led by a children's chapel. Afterward, the pilots were already sorted by nationality and each and everyone with a child by the hand. I was allowed to take the Austrian flag. After a few speeches at the HQ, we went to the official dinner of the event.
